Two Employees Collapse After Drinking Bottled Water in Office... Police Launch Investigation

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Two employees, a man and a woman, collapsed after drinking bottled water at an office of a company located in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, prompting a police investigation.

According to the police on the 19th, the day before, they drank bottled water placed on the office desk and said "the water tastes strange" before losing consciousness and collapsing. The male employee has not yet regained consciousness and is reported to be hospitalized in the intensive care unit.

The fire department stated that the female and male employees collapsed about an hour apart, complaining of difficulty breathing, and were already unconscious when they arrived at the scene.

The police sent the bottled water they drank to the National Forensic Service for drug testing and are conducting investigations targeting other employees of the same company.
