Remedy, Portable Dental X-ray Enters Japanese Market

Obtained Sales Approval from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare
Full-Scale Entry into Japan, the World's 2nd Largest Medical Device Market

Remedy, Portable Dental X-ray Enters Japanese Market Portable dental X-ray 'REMEX'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Remedy, a company specializing in X-ray and radiation device solutions (CEO Irena), announced on the 19th that its self-developed portable dental X-ray device 'REMEX' has successfully entered the Japanese medical device market.

Remedy recently obtained sales approval for the portable dental X-ray device from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare through a local partner in Japan. Japan, the largest medical device market in Asia, has a high market share of domestic medical devices. In particular, foreign medical device companies have faced difficulties entering Japan due to the stringent approval process by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

After two years of effort, Remedy succeeded in obtaining approval and plans to promote the entry of 'REMEX' into the Japanese dental market through its Japanese partner starting at the end of this year.

Additionally, since exports are already underway to more than 40 countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Russia, sales are expected to accelerate starting next year.

According to the company, Remedy's compact portable X-ray device not only significantly reduces radiation exposure for medical staff and patients but is also lighter and portable compared to existing X-ray devices, enabling imaging and diagnosis without restrictions on location or space.

A Remedy representative stated, "We are receiving many inquiries and proposals from overseas countries that are sensitive to price and emphasize convenience and performance," adding, "We expect significant sales next year in Germany and Italy, where clinical trials are underway, as well as in India and China, where approvals are in progress."
