[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Park Cheol-min, a member of the International Mafia Group who raised suspicions that Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, had a symbiotic relationship with the organized crime group 'International Mafia Group,' has voluntarily revealed his own photo.

According to the Chosun Ilbo on the 18th, lawyer Jang Young-ha, who is in communication with Park, publicly shared all of Park's photos and statements on his Facebook page. Lawyer Jang stated, "Park disclosed his photo to increase the credibility of his testimony. He said there was no need to mosaic it, and he said that if his testimony were false, he would accept any punishment, whether for spreading false information or defamation."

However, this photo was known to have been posted on Park's SNS in 2018, revealing that it is unrelated to Governor Lee. Photo by Lawyer Jang Young-ha, captured from Facebook.

Earlier, on the 18th, Kim Yong-pan, a member of the People Power Party, claimed at the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's audit of Gyeonggi Province held at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office that "the International Mafia Group supported Governor Lee with nearly 2 billion won," and revealed Park's fact verification document, statement, and photos of cash bundles that Park allegedly delivered to Governor Lee.

Rep. Kim explained, "Park Cheol-min, the son of Park Seung-yong, who served as a member and vice-chairman of the Seongnam City Council's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd terms, and Lee Jun-seok, CEO of Komatrade, are all core members of the International Mafia Group," adding, "We received a public interest report about Governor Lee from Park Cheol-min through lawyer Jang Young-ha."

He further claimed, "Governor Lee took good care of them to the extent that he was called 'Lee Jae-myung Boss.'"

In response, Governor Lee said, "I don't know where the photo was taken, but it seems a lot of effort was made," and added, "This is why the parliamentary immunity of lawmakers should be limited. They are showing clearly false information to the public." He continued, "The content is quite interesting. If the money was given in cash, does that mean the rest was given by check? If it was by check, wouldn't it be easy to verify?" he argued.

Meanwhile, Park revealed, "Governor Lee had a collusive relationship with senior members of the International Mafia Group even before 2007, from his days as a lawyer," and "It was a symbiotic relationship where he was introduced cases by International Mafia Group members and gave commissions."

He also said, "At that time, under the condition of supporting special favors for projects from the city such as security services to close associates of the International Mafia Group, nearly 2 billion won was provided to Governor Lee in cash over dozens of times, and sometimes the money was matched in cash."
