Ramiran, Jung Il-woo, and Kim Seul-gi Become a 'Highway Family'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Ra Mi-ran, Jung Il-woo, Kim Seul-gi, and Baek Hyun-jin come together as the 'Highway Family.'

According to Film Company Salrem on the 18th, 'Highway Family' began filming on the 15th. The movie depicts a family living a camping-like nomadic life along highway rest stops and the encounter of a couple who accidentally join their hands, portraying the process of a new family being born.

It is a story about warmth, affection, compassion, trust, and hope that still exist between people despite the cold reality, showing how a wandering family rises again through someone's courage and help. The cast includes actors Ra Mi-ran, Jung Il-woo, Kim Seul-gi, Baek Hyun-jin, Seo I-su, and Park Da-on.

Ra Mi-ran plays the owner of a secondhand furniture store who holds a longing for her son, Jung Il-woo takes on the role of a father of two children who fiercely cares for his family. Kim Seul-gi portrays a heavily pregnant woman who practically leads a destinationless journey with her husband, two children, and the baby in her womb, while Baek Hyun-jin appears as Ra Mi-ran's husband, a taciturn yet supportive figure who understands his wife's pain more than anyone else.

The film is directed and written by Lee Sang-moon, former assistant director of 'Adults Don't Know' and 'The Villainess.' Filming is scheduled to wrap up in the second half of this year, with a planned release in 2022.
