Seogwipo Coast Guard Conducts Field Training for 25 New Police Cadets

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Seogwipo Maritime Police Station (Chief Hwang Junhyun) announced on the 18th that 25 trainees of the 243rd New Police Course will undergo field training at the station from the 18th until January 28 of next year.

The trainees, composed of open recruitment (9), ship personnel (11), special duty (4), and traffic control (1), will rotate through the police station, ships, police boxes, and rescue teams to improve practical skills and strengthen their ability to respond to field situations so they can perform their duties immediately upon deployment.

Seogwipo Maritime Police has established a detailed training plan tailored to its own circumstances and assigned one-on-one supervisors (mentors) for each department during the training period to ensure effective practical training.

Hwang Jeonghyun, a trainee participating in the training (ship personnel), said, “I will work hard to learn how the knowledge and skills acquired at the training center are applied in the field and strive to become a competent maritime police officer.”
