Jo Young-cheol, New President of Hyundai Doosan Infracore, "Let's Leap to Global Construction Equipment Top 5"

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Jo Young-cheol, the newly appointed CEO (President) of Hyundai Doosan Infracore, sent a direct letter to employees presenting a vision to prepare for a new leap in the global market. Doosan Infracore, the No. 1 company in the domestic construction machinery industry, was recently acquired by Hyundai Heavy Industries Group and newly launched as Hyundai Doosan Infracore. CEO Jo declared his first statement upon appointment as "leaping to become a global top 5 company."


On the 18th, CEO Jo sent a letter of greeting containing his determination and management policy as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hyundai Doosan Infracore via email to executives and employees. President Jo said, "I have high expectations to work with the capable executives and employees who created the strength to become No. 1 in domestic construction machinery," and emphasized, "Let us work together to establish ourselves as a global top 5 in the construction machinery sector by 2025."


To achieve this goal early, CEO Jo stated that he would prioritize communication and future technologies, promising, "We will build communication channels so that executives and employees can raise difficulties and sound opinions, supporting the company to become a 'place where people want to come to work.'"

He also emphasized the importance of developing technologies leading the next-generation construction machinery market, such as unmanned and automation technologies, saying, "We will organize an organization that can maximize the efficiency of research and development (R&D), and the funds raised through this paid-in capital increase will be used for future technology investment and expansion of advanced market sales networks."


Furthermore, to establish ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, whose importance has recently been highlighted, he added plans to prioritize 'sustainability' as the top task in strategy formulation, including personnel, finance, and R&D.


CEO Jo stated, "Change creates new opportunities, and ambitious goals will draw out our potential and become the driving force to jump higher," emphasizing, "Now, we no longer have competitors domestically, and global top-tier companies will be our targets."
