[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Win-Win Growth Committee (Chairman Kwon Ki-hong) announced on the 17th that it held an 'Innovation Growth Tour' jointly with Chungcheongnam-do.

The Innovation Growth Tour has been conducted since 2019 by the Win-Win Growth Committee and metropolitan local governments to promote nationwide expansion of win-win cooperation and innovation growth between large and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as a culture of win-win growth. The event was held on the 14th and was successfully completed as the ninth event of the Innovation Growth Tour, according to the committee.

As part of the Win-Win Growth Committee's key project, the innovation-driven win-win growth movement, the Innovation Growth Tour hosted an innovation technology purchase consultation meeting with 80 companies from large and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions participating as demand sources. Additionally, side events included an exhibition of excellent SME products and a training course for win-win growth practitioners.

The innovation technology purchase consultation meeting involved 80 large companies (and public institutions) such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Steel, SK, LG Chem, Lotte Confectionery, POSCO, Hanwha Construction, Shinsegae DF, and KT, conducting a total of 428 technology and purchase consultations.

The SME excellent products exhibition featured booths from 18 outstanding companies recommended by Chungnam Province, showcasing products developed through cooperation between large and small-to-medium enterprises and excellent innovative technology products from SMEs.

In the second-term win-win growth practitioner training course held this time, lectures were given to 76 SME practitioners on topics including 'Understanding Win-Win Growth,' 'ESG Response Strategies in the Era of Win-Win Growth,' and 'Cooperation Foundation and Win-Win Growth Committee ESG Support Projects.'

Due to the ongoing social distancing level 3 in Chungnam Province's cities and counties amid the spread of COVID-19, the innovation technology purchase consultation meeting was operated by dividing the consultation hall into four sectors by industry. Strict compliance with quarantine rules was ensured, including limiting the maximum capacity in the consultation hall to fewer than 50 people, allowing the event to proceed safely.

Chairman Kwon Ki-hong of the Win-Win Growth Committee said, “It is very meaningful to have jointly held the Innovation Growth Tour with Chungcheongnam-do for three consecutive years since 2019.” He added, “Despite COVID-19, we appreciate the participation of many companies in events such as the online and offline innovation technology purchase consultation meetings, and we hope this will serve as a catalyst for corporate innovation based on the philosophy of win-win growth and ESG management between large companies, public institutions, and SMEs.”
