Geu In-mo, Mayor of Geochang County, Visits Gyeongnam Provincial Office to Secure Provincial Funds

On the 13th, County Governor Gu In-mo visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office and met directly with Acting Governor Ha Byung-pil to request support for a budget of 832 million won related to the construction project of a public dementia-specialized elderly care facility.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gu In-mo, Mayor of Geochang County, visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office on the 13th to request the inclusion of the new public dementia-specialized elderly care facility construction project and the future-oriented smart apple farm creation project in the Gyeongnam national and provincial budget new projects.

On this day, Mayor Gu met directly with Acting Governor Ha Byung-pil and Planning and Coordination Office Director Cho Young-jin to request support of 832 million KRW from the special adjustment fund budget for the public dementia-specialized elderly care facility construction project.

He also proposed that the future-oriented smart apple farm creation project, incorporating ICT, be included as a national and provincial new project from 2023 onward.

This visit was arranged to coincide with his schedule to attend a joint press conference opposing the reduction of electoral districts for metropolitan councilors, including Geochang County, at the provincial council.

Acting Governor Ha Byung-pil responded, "I appreciate your efforts to overcome difficulties in the region amid the challenges of COVID-19," and added, "We will strive to ensure maximum provincial budget support for the projects promoted by Geochang County."
