[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 13th regarding the controversy surrounding former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and the ‘Cheongongseung’ that "If confirmed, it could be somewhat risky, but unless confirmed, it is not a major controversy."

Lee appeared on KBS Radio’s ‘Choi Kyung-young’s Strongest Current Affairs’ and said, "Since former Prosecutor General Yoon has been involved in various controversies, aside from watching a video of the person called Cheongongseung, honestly, nothing has been confirmed," adding, "It can be seen as a matter of personal preference so far."

He stated, "As former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min suspects, it has not yet been revealed that the person known as Cheongongseung, who gives Jeongbeop lectures, provided timely advice or guidance on the direction of Yoon Seok-yeol’s significant actions."

Lee added, "The person called Cheongongseung keeps saying so on broadcasts, which raises some suspicion, but since former Prosecutor General Yoon denied it, for example, he did not take that person’s advice regarding investigations or political moves."

However, he said, "If that is confirmed, it would be somewhat risky," but also noted, "In my opinion, unless it is confirmed, it is not a major controversy."

Regarding debates among candidates, Lee urged, "They should show a posture that touches on in-depth topics such as real estate measures, welfare issues, or educational inequality caused by COVID-19 recently," adding, "So far, the candidates seem to be engaging too much in early power struggles. I hope they have constructive debates going forward."
