Choi In-seok, CEO of Lepere, "The Beauty Trend in the COVID Era is 'Human-Centered Authenticity'" Choi In-seok, CEO of Lepere, is giving a lecture on the theme "2021 Beauty Trends Analyzed Through Beauty YouTuber Big Data" on the 8th at KINTEX in Ilsan.

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Inseok Choi, CEO of Lepere, presented "human-centered authenticity" as the key to the growth of "K-Beauty" in the With-Corona era.

The beauty influencer business group Lepere announced on the 11th that CEO Inseok Choi participated as a speaker at the "2021 Korea Beauty Expo" held at KINTEX in Ilsan on the 7th, where he shared future prospects on the 2021 beauty trends and the beauty market in the With-Corona era following the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the second day of the event, the 8th, from 1 PM for about 30 minutes, CEO Choi gave a lecture in the "Trend Concert" section under the theme "2021 Beauty Trends Analyzed through Beauty YouTuber Big Data." Based on the analysis of approximately 40,000 YouTube contents from about 1,200 domestic beauty YouTubers, he discussed the rise and fall of the beauty market during the COVID-19 era and suggested trends that beauty brands should follow.

CEO Choi said, "The beauty market is one of the sectors most severely impacted by COVID-19, but brands that have responded well to trends by turning crisis into opportunity are showing a rapid recovery." He explained that at the center of trends such as the strengthening of vegan beauty brands derived from the COVID-19 environment, the spread of personalized customized products, and the growth of influencer commerce, there is a focus on people, and brand communication based on understanding this is essential.

Regarding influencer commerce, CEO Choi emphasized, "The domestic market is currently in its early stages, and if one jumps into live commerce or similar platforms solely based on profitability following trends, it will likely lead to disappointment and failure. Only by building trust through close relationships among brands, influencers, and consumers can successful outcomes and sustainable growth be achieved."

Meanwhile, the beauty YouTuber big data, which served as the foundational material for this lecture topic, is the industry's only data produced through a 100% full survey method by the "Lepere Data Research Institute," a corporate-affiliated research institute certified by the Ministry of Science and ICT under Lepere.
