[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] United Airlines, a U.S. airline, will significantly expand domestic flights by the end of the year.

According to CNBC on the 7th (local time), United Airlines plans to increase the number of daily domestic flights to 3,500 in December. This is the highest level since the COVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, routes to vacation destinations such as ski resorts and beaches will be intensively expanded. At 12 airports located in Florida, up to 195 flights per day are planned.

However, international flights are expected to remain sluggish due to strengthened entry restrictions. Starting in November, the U.S. will only allow entry to foreigners who have completed two doses of vaccination and tested negative in a pre-arrival test.
