Shout "Aria Fighting" and Win an iPhone 13... SKT 'NUGU' Reaches 10 Million Monthly Users

[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] SK Telecom announced on the 7th that the monthly active users (MAU) of its artificial intelligence (AI) platform ‘Nugu (NUGU)’ have surpassed 10 million.

After checking the user status of various Nugu platforms such as ▲T Phone x Nugu ▲TMAP x Nugu ▲Nugu Speaker throughout September, SK Telecom found that approximately 10.2 million customers used Nugu at least once.

Since launching the AI speaker Nugu in 2016, the company has expanded its usage areas to TMAP, Btv, Kids Phone, and more. In 2019, it publicly released the ‘Nugu Software Development Kit (NUGU SDK)’ to external parties, enabling manufacturers and developers with diverse needs to more easily apply Nugu to their own services and products. This was an effort aimed at developing Nugu not just as a simple AI service but as an AI platform, under the goal of ‘Nugu Everywhere’.

To celebrate surpassing 10 million Nugu users, SK Telecom will hold a customer appreciation event from the 18th to the 31st. Customers who wish to participate can say “Aria, fighting!” on a device or service that can use Nugu and then register their participation information by following the instructions. Prizes will be awarded by lottery, including ▲iPhone 13 (1 person) ▲Apple Watch 7th generation (3 people) ▲Nespresso Citiz coffee machine (5 people) ▲Baskin Robbins pint (200 people) ▲Starbucks iced Americano (1,000 people). Winners can be checked on the Nugu homepage on November 5th.
