[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 2nd that it will hold a learning game contest called the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Game Development Challenge.'
This contest was planned to discover games that not only increase children's interest in mathematics but also enhance learning effectiveness by utilizing AI computational learning data. The application submission period is until the 19th of next month.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is participating as the main sponsor of this contest. Additionally, the Game Culture Foundation and the Smart Education Society are supporting the event. The professional judging panel consists of experts from the information technology (IT), gaming, and education industries. External judges include Kim Kyung-il, Chairman of the Game Culture Foundation; Kim Dong-hyun, Head of Netmarble AI Center; Kang Deok-won, CEO of IT Donga; and Shin Min-chul, member of the Ministry of Education's Education Big Data Committee.
The judging will be conducted in preliminary and final rounds. Woongjin ThinkBig plans to evaluate based on ▲originality ▲fun ▲completeness of ideas ▲commercialization potential. The 30 teams advancing to the finals will be provided with Woongjin ThinkBig's AI learning data and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services for game development.
The final judging will be conducted via online live streaming. Combining evaluations from the professional judging panel and online voting, a total of 10 teams will be selected, including 1 grand prize winner, 1 excellence award winner, and 3 merit award winners. The 10 final selected teams will receive a total prize of 100 million KRW, special hiring benefits from Woongjin ThinkBig, game development support, and sponsor benefits.
