KOTRA to Host 'New Southern Business Week' Starting from the 5th of Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] KOTRA announced on the 29th that it will hold the '2021 New Southern Business Week' for two days starting from the 5th of next month at COEX in Seoul, in collaboration with domestic related organizations such as the New Southern Policy Special Committee and the Korea International Trade Association.

This event, under the theme of 'Korea-New Southern Inclusive Recovery and Future of Shared Prosperity,' consists of a total of five sessions: ▲Win-win Business Forum ▲Export Consultation ▲Cooperation Seminar ▲ASEAN Week ▲Cultural Experience Zone. KOTRA will be responsible for hosting the online export consultation and economic cooperation seminar to create a platform for economic cooperation and shared prosperity between Korea and New Southern countries.

The export consultation held over two days will be promoted in four fields: ▲Business Partnership ▲Startup ▲ICT Convergence Solutions ▲Edutech. About 200 buyers from the New Southern region in future promising industries such as 5G, ICT, medical bio, and startups will conduct approximately 300 online export consultations with 150 domestic companies.

On the second day of the event, an economic cooperation seminar will be held together with the embassies of six New Southern countries in Korea, including Vietnam and Malaysia, to introduce the vivid business and investment environments of each country. Representatives from each embassy will serve as speakers to introduce promising regions and industries for investment entry, and present investment incentives such as tax benefits and support from investment agencies. This seminar will be broadcast live on the YouTube KOTRA Business channel.
