After the Chuseok holiday, the number of daily confirmed COVID-19 cases among foreign restaurant users in the area surged to between 10 and 20.

In particular, the spread among Vietnamese and Myanmar residents is concentrated, which is analyzed to be due to the group and long-duration dining culture of these countries.

After the meeting, the city, Gimhae Jungbu Police Station, Gimhae Foreign Workers Support Center, and representatives of foreign communities distributed 300 copies of quarantine guidelines and COVID-19 vaccination information translated into nine languages while visiting areas densely populated by foreigners.

Im Ju-taek, Director of the Citizen Welfare Bureau, stated, "We ask everyone to make efforts so that the spread of COVID-19 among foreign residents can be quickly contained and that everyone completes vaccination to live stably."

Meanwhile, since July, the city has signed agreements with foreign communities from five countries and promoted quarantine guidelines and vaccination through various SNS channels (in 12 languages, 11,189 cases) to foreign residents, and sent vaccination guidance mail to 7,309 registered foreigners and compatriots with nationality.
