[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 28th, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced that it conducted the ‘2021 Integrity Live (Integrity Education)’ at the Suncheon Bay Ecological Culture Education Center performance hall, attended by 78 public officials of grade 4 or higher, including the main office’s department heads, education support office superintendents, and heads of affiliated institutions.

Integrity Live is an integrity education program of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission’s Integrity Training Institute, operated since 2013 to help public officials and citizens understand and practice integrity more easily and familiarly.

On this day, the integrity education was conducted in the form of a cultural performance rather than a rigid lecture, containing diverse and innovative content so that anyone could naturally feel the importance of integrity.

The Provincial Office of Education promoted this education to present a new perspective on integrity, directions for fair and transparent work processing, and to spread a culture of integrity led by senior officials as role models, as well as to create a fair workplace culture.

The integrity education included ▲a lecture on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act ▲the pansori performance ‘Byeoljubu-jeon,’ which depicts the chaotic story of the civil servant Jara from the Dragon Palace dreaming of success in a modern sensibility ▲a skit titled ‘Manager Kwon’s Regret,’ which explores the empathy and concerns of public officials ▲and a sand art performance reenacting award-winning works from the integrity content contest to reflect on the meaning of integrity in daily life.

Superintendent Jang Seok-woong emphasized, “Integrity is the duty and pride of all public officials. When integrity is practiced in daily life, one can be proud of oneself and gain trust from students and parents. Moreover, communication and consensus-building among members are important to become a healthy organization.”
