Cumulative Sales Surpass 300 Billion KRW... Hanwha Securities' 'Delta Lab' Gains Popularity

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Hanwha Investment & Securities' wrap account product has surpassed a cumulative sales amount of 300 billion KRW. It appears that the flexible response to the market despite high stock market uncertainty was a key factor.

Hanwha Investment & Securities announced on the 28th that the cumulative sales amount of its 'Hanwha Delta Wrap' product exceeded 300 billion KRW. This is an increase of 100 billion KRW in six months since surpassing 200 billion KRW at the end of March. Hanwha Investment & Securities explained, "Since its launch in April 2018, consistent operational performance has led to rapid sales growth as word of mouth spread among customers even in a situation of high stock market uncertainty."

Hanwha Delta Wrap is a wrap account service that adjusts the allocation ratio according to the movements of managed assets such as stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), based on a financial engineering model. It is characterized by being managed with a single stock, and types are classified and managed according to the managed assets, such as ‘Delta Wrap Samsung Electronics’ and ‘Delta Wrap Hyundai Motor’. Additionally, even for the same managed asset, recruitment units are set and managed separately according to the stock price and allocation ratio at the time of recruitment.

When customers contract with the target conversion type wrap, if the pre-set target rate of return is reached, the assets are converted into cash equivalents for management. Customers can also cancel at any desired time before reaching the target rate of return, resulting in a high re-subscription rate.

As customer demand increased, the managed assets were expanded from existing Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Hyundai Motor to various industries including Naver (NAVER), KB Financial Group, Samsung Biologics, and Hyundai Construction. The subscription amounts were also diversified from 10 million to 50 million KRW, considering the stock prices of the managed assets. Detailed information can be obtained through the Hanwha Investment & Securities website or sales offices.

Kim Suncheol, Executive Director of Product Strategy at Hanwha Investment & Securities, stated, "Hanwha Delta Wrap has become a bestseller representing Hanwha Investment & Securities' wrap services due to strong customer interest," and added, "We will continue to strive to establish it as a new alternative for increasing customer assets."
