Jang Je-won Resigns as Chief of Yoon Camp's General Office... "Reflecting on the Sin of Raising Children Poorly" Jang Je-won, Member of the People Power Party

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 28th, Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, announced that he would "step down from the position of Chief of Staff for former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's campaign."

On the same day, Jang stated on his Facebook, "I have no face to show the public and feel deeply sorry to candidate Yoon Seok-yeol. Ultimately, I am stepping down without obtaining the candidate's permission."

Earlier, controversy arose over Jang's son, rapper Noel (real name Jang Yong-jun), who was accused of assaulting a police officer who requested a breathalyzer test after driving without a license. He immediately expressed his intention to resign to former Prosecutor General Yoon, but it was reported that Yoon rejected the resignation.

He said, "I judged that stepping down would be more helpful to the candidate," and added, "I sincerely thank candidate Yoon, who has shown unwavering trust in me despite my shortcomings." He also said, "Now, I will deeply reflect on the sin of raising a child poorly and take time for self-reflection. Although my son has committed a wrong, I will faithfully fulfill my role as a father, which I have not been able to do until now."
