[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 27th, Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader of the People Power Party, urged the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "Let us undergo a fair and thorough investigation to clarify whether this is the Lee Jae-myung Gate or the People Power Party Gate," and "We ask you to agree to a special prosecutor and a national audit immediately."

On the same day, Kim wrote on his Facebook, "The 5 billion won that Assemblyman Kwak Sang-do's son received upon retirement is clearly not in line with the public's desire for fairness and common sense," adding, "If there was any illegality or special treatment in this process, as the People Power Party has continuously emphasized, punishment must be carried out according to law and principles."

He continued, "The Daejang-dong Gate, the largest development corruption case since the era of Dangun, involves close aides and key figures of candidate Lee Jae-myung, and the candidate himself was the mayor of Seongnam at the time, holding the development project approval authority," warning, "All suspicions point to Lee Jae-myung. Remember that while one finger points at the People Power Party, the other four fingers point at this candidate."

Kim emphasized, "The core of the Pangyo Daejang-dong Gate is 'who is the mastermind behind this absurd money feast chaos?'" and questioned, "Isn't the mastermind who designed this money feast the Governor Lee Jae-myung?" He added, "The special prosecutor is the answer. Whether it is Assemblyman Kwak or Governor Lee, no one is exempt," and stressed, "The People Power Party will fight to the end until the mask of hypocrisy and lies of this candidate is removed."
