Artists 500,000 KRW, Performance Companies 1,000,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seunghyun Jeong] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, has launched emergency support for the cultural and artistic community struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the city on the 27th, the support targets are ▲ artists and ▲ performance-related businesses with addresses within the region.
▲ 500,000 KRW support per artist
The support target is artists who have had their address in Mokpo since June 15 of this year. Eligibility requires that the artist has completed proof of artistic activity by the announcement date of September 16 and is a health insurance regional subscriber or workplace subscriber with a median income within 120%.
Applications, proof of artistic activity, health insurance-related documents, and resident registration abstracts must be submitted in person or by mail to the Mokpo City Hall Culture and Arts Division by October 15.
The proof of artistic activity is issued by the Korea Artists Welfare Foundation through review based on evidence of activities in various fields such as literature, photography, and fine arts. The Jeonnam Cultural Foundation acts as an agent to assist with application and issuance.
▲ 1,000,000 KRW support per performance-related business
The support target is performance-related businesses located in Mokpo City as of the application date, which opened by December 31, 2020. The business must have a primary industry code corresponding to the codes below* and be a small business with annual sales of 1 billion KRW or less, with a decrease in sales compared to the sales standard by opening period.
Application documents include the application form, business registration certificate, supporting documents (primary industry code confirmation), and monthly sales evidence, to be submitted to the Culture and Arts Division by October 8. Unregistered businesses, temporarily closed or closed businesses, and businesses violating administrative orders are excluded from support.
