Recruiting 300 Companies for 'Soochul Doodream' Program

Discovering and Connecting Promising Small Businesses with High Export Potential

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 27th that they will be recruiting 'Export Do-dream' companies until the 1st of next month.

The Ministry and SBC plan to discover promising small business exporters and support their export growth by focusing on supporting export and small business support policies of related organizations such as the Small Enterprise and Market Service and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.

Companies designated as Export Do-dream will receive tailored support such as ▲priority selection for SBC export vouchers, preferential participation in customized online export support projects for promising small exporters ▲policy fund loans from the Small Enterprise and Market Service, linkage support with export center education programs and capacity-building consulting ▲utilization of KOTRA overseas trade offices, priority selection for export marketing projects ▲special guarantees for small businesses from the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund Central Association.

The Export Do-dream company designation system is a newly implemented project, designating about 300 companies this year. From next year, the scale will gradually expand to designate more than 500 companies annually. Applications for designation as Export Do-dream companies can be made on the GoBiz Korea website until the 1st of next month, and inquiries can be directed to the SBC Export Marketing Business Division.

Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "The Export Do-dream company designation project aims to discover promising small exporters with high export potential and help them grow their exports to pioneer new markets," adding, "We will support their growth into export companies by providing focused support through collaboration with related organizations."
