[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Orion announced on the 27th that it will launch 'Goraebab Choco Beombuk.'
Goraebab Choco Beombuk is a product planned with the concept of 'Goraebab sweetened by rolling in chocolate.' Chocolate powder is added to the Goraebab dough, which is then baked into shapes of marine creatures such as whales, sharks, and octopuses. Afterward, it is coated once more with chocolate and sprinkled with cocoa powder seasoning, creating a triple-layered chocolate coating. Orion explained that they planned 'Goraebab Choco Beombuk' based on the insight that their main target audience, children, have a longing for snacks filled with sweet chocolate, such as 'chocolate fondue' or 'chocolate snack houses.'
Goraebab, launched in 1984, is a representative fun concept snack that is 'eaten for fun and tasted for flavor.' It has been loved for a long time as a national snack that the whole family can enjoy together, including children. It has also succeeded in localization by releasing flavors such as tomato, BBQ, and seaweed taste, considering local tastes in countries like China and Vietnam, gaining popularity in the global market as well.
