Recruiting Local Small Business Owners for Integrated Online Reservation System Use Until the End of This Year... As of September, Over 20 Local Small Businesses Participate in Training for Program Utilization... Support for System Usage Fees and Reservation Commissions, Meal Voucher Discounts Through Vacancy Prediction System
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) is recruiting small business owners in the local dining industry to use the "Integrated Online Reservation System" (hereinafter referred to as the reservation system) by the end of this year.
The reservation system, which allows dining establishments to view reservation statuses at a glance, currently has about 20 small business participants in the area as of September, who are receiving training to utilize the program.
In June, the district signed a business agreement with local company Table Manager Co., Ltd. to support small dining businesses and introduced the reservation system.
The reservation system, which can manage various platforms such as KakaoTalk, Naver, Google, and Samsung Card in one place, offers efficient customer management including customer information and real-time reservation confirmation text messages. It also features an AI system that predicts the number of tables available by time slot and conducts discounted meal ticket sales to attract regular customers.
The usage fee incurred (within 50,000 KRW per month per business) will be provided free of charge for six months, and restaurant users can make reservations through the KakaoTalk chatbot reservation system.
The commission fees arising from this are provided free of charge by KakaoTalk and Table Manager until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A, who operates a restaurant in Seongsu-dong, said, "Using Table Manager's integrated reservation solution, sales increased by 30% compared to previous years," adding, "Automatic sending of reservation confirmation messages greatly helps restaurant operations, and the KakaoTalk chatbot reservation service accounts for more than half of the reservations."
Small business owners wishing to use the reservation system can apply easily online without paper documents by using the online consent system and QR code through the Seongdong-gu Office website and blog.
For participating small business owners, Table Manager will visit each business directly to listen to and analyze customer characteristics, peak hours, and ease of organizing dine-in or takeout menus, and will provide customized training accordingly.
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, "I hope the reservation system, which reduces sales damage for small business owners and supports the growth of local companies, will revitalize dining establishments, and we will continue to seek various ways to restore the self-sustainability of small business owners."
