[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Breaking through the pitch-black dawn, a desperate male voice shouting for the police was heard.

"Police officer, police officer~."

At 4:26 a.m. on the 20th, a day before Chuseok, a resident of an apartment near a mountain and houses in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, dialed 112.

The resident reported, "Since yesterday, I can't see anyone across the apartment, but I hear someone shouting 'Police officer'." The voice was said to be male.

The duty officers at Samnam Police Substation of Ulju Police Station were tense, thinking someone might be in danger.

The patrol car rushed out through the darkness. After a long search, there was no sign of anyone. At that moment, a suspicious sound was heard near a house at the foot of a low hill.

Shining a searchlight, the sound was heard again. "Kkokkiokki-o~."

It was the crowing of a rooster. From a distance, it could easily be mistaken for "Police officer." The startled police soon found it absurd.

Officer Ha Tae-seung said, "At first, we were tense and rushed out thinking it was a dangerous report, but when it turned out to be a rooster's crow, we were baffled but relieved."

The person who made the report felt very sorry after learning the truth. Officer Ha comforted them, saying, "I'm relieved it ended as a harmless incident."

The Ulsan Police Agency made a 1 minute 36 second video of the situation. On the afternoon of the 23rd, it was uploaded on YouTube titled "Urgent voice calling the police during Chuseok holiday," "Police officer."

Within 3 hours of posting, it recorded over 2,000 views.

A teenage netizen who watched the video laughed, saying, "Wow, from far away, you could really mistake it for 'Police officer.'"

At the end of the video, a witty closing caption appeared: "We will be the police who do not miss even minor reports. Until the day the people feel safe."
