40s Female Judge Found Dead at Home During Chuseok Holiday... 'No External Injuries'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] During the Chuseok holiday, a female judge affiliated with the Mokpo Branch of Gwangju District Court was found dead at her home.

According to the Mokpo Police Station in Jeonnam on the 23rd, a report was received around 11 a.m. the previous day that a woman in her mid-40s, Ms. A, was collapsed in an apartment in Okam-dong, Mokpo City.

When the 119 emergency medical team arrived at the scene after receiving the report, Ms. A was already deceased.

Police investigation confirmed that Ms. A was a judge at the Mokpo Branch of Gwangju District Court, and she was discovered by another family member who visited her home at the request of her parents, who had been unable to contact her.

Ms. A, who was assigned to the Mokpo Branch in February 2019, did not return to her hometown during the Chuseok holiday, and no suicide note was found.

The police are judging that there is no suspicion of a crime as there were no significant external injuries on her body.
