[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Shinsegae Casa announced on the 23rd that it will launch a 'VR 3D Interior Service' that allows customers to arrange furniture using virtual reality (VR) technology and experience space design through 3D simulation.
The newly developed VR program by Shinsegae Casa is a customized space consulting service for customers. It helps customers easily select furniture through expert consultations and aims to increase satisfaction when the actual furniture is delivered. In particular, it enhances customer convenience by allowing customers to choose products optimized for their individual living spaces and immediately check the estimate.
The VR 3D Interior Service provides approximately 90,000 apartment floor plans for customers to use effectively. It also allows the creation of new floor plans, enabling furniture arrangement based on the structure of the actual residence. More than 800 Casamia furniture and accessory items are realistically modeled in 3D, allowing customers to feel the texture and atmosphere as if seeing them in person.
In addition, the service offers various viewing perspectives, including 3D bird’s-eye views and a first-person mode that adjusts the eye level according to the customer's height. Various options such as wallpapers and flooring suitable for the customer's home are also applied.
The VR 3D Interior Service is operated at Casamia stores. It is also available on 'Good.com,' a lifestyle commerce and community platform operated by Shinsegae Casa. When visiting the store, customers can receive product recommendations based on their living space, furniture composition, and preferences. Online members can also perform self-interior design, supporting convenient and reasonable shopping.
The upcoming 'AR Service,' scheduled for launch soon, is an exclusive program for the Good.com application that allows virtual placement of furniture in various real locations. Customers can select desired products and point their camera at the space where they want to place them; the products are adjusted to actual scale, enabling customers to check how the furniture fits in the space. Customers can verify whether the furniture matches the atmosphere of their home and if the size fits the intended space before purchasing. Shinsegae Casa plans to strengthen its position as a total home furnishing brand by launching a VR showroom in the first half of next year.
A Shinsegae Casa official stated, "In the era of hyper-personalization, we launched the VR service to actively reflect the segmented needs of customers and provide a customized shopping experience," adding, "We will enhance satisfaction by offering comfortable and convenient services tailored to each customer."
