[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the morning of the first day of the Chuseok holiday, the 18th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon visited the Seoul Comprehensive Disaster and Safety Center and the National Medical Center consecutively to check the COVID-19 response status and encourage workers on the front lines of quarantine during the Chuseok holiday.


The 'Seoul Comprehensive Disaster and Safety Center' is a dedicated window that receives and handles disaster situations through 119, supporting the rapid transfer of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients and those with adverse reactions to vaccines to hospitals.


Mayor Oh toured facilities such as the 119 Situation Room, which receives and handles disaster situations, and the COVID-19 Response Office, expressing his gratitude to the workers.


He said, "Seeing the tense atmosphere on the first day of the holiday is reassuring," adding, "Although the workload has increased for everyone due to COVID-19, I hope each person quietly does their best." He continued, "Since the holiday response will determine the wave of the 4th major outbreak, please respond thoroughly to any incidents during the long holiday."


Additionally, Mayor Oh visited the COVID-19 Metropolitan Area Joint Response Situation Room at the National Medical Center, which oversees bed allocation, to check the status of smooth bed allocation in the metropolitan area and expressed his gratitude to the workers.
