[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Home appliance company Cuckoo Homesys (CEO Gu Bonhak) announced on the 17th that it has launched a new product, the ‘In&Out Zero100 Self Direct Water Ice Purifier (model: CP-SS100HW)’.

With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic making 'home cafe' and 'home cooking' trends, the demand for home appliances that allow consumers to easily create various recipes at home has increased.

This product is a water purifier optimized for home cafes. It dispenses water from 0˚C ice to 100˚C boiled water. It satisfies both the ‘Aia-jok’ (those who enjoy iced Americano) and the ‘Ttea-jok’ (those who enjoy hot Americano). It applies an electrolysis sterilization method, making self-management easy.

Existing ice water purifiers, even with hot water functions, required the hassle of boiling water separately using electric kettles to get boiled water. The In&Out Zero100 ice water purifier is the first ice water purifier to offer a 100°C boiled water dispensing function. It brings out the deep flavor of drip coffee and tea, and dissolves sugar and syrup well to deliver the best taste in various beverages. The 100°C high-temperature water also addresses the issue of insufficient cooking of ingredients in convenience foods, meal kits, and instant noodles.

The wave ice-making system removes bubbles in the water, producing hard and transparent ice. Made with clean direct water, it can be enjoyed fresher. In normal mode, ice is made in 15 minutes, and in quick mode, ice can be obtained in just 12 minutes. The ice room capacity is 0.7 kg, allowing ample storage.

The filter uses a carbon composite filter with charcoal components for cleaner water and an upgraded Nano Positive Plus 3.0 filter. With excellent filtration, it removes 99.9% of norovirus, heavy metals (aluminum, iron, lead), bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), residual chlorine, and fine particles. Additionally, with a dedicated ice filter and ‘Natural Ice Filter,’ Cuckoo explained that users can enjoy clean ice hygienically without worry.
