[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Samsung refrigerators have been recognized as the best refrigerators in the German consumer product evaluation.
According to Samsung on the 17th, StiWa, the largest consumer media in Germany, selected Samsung products for all top three positions in the Bottom Mount Freezer (BMF) category in its refrigerator product evaluation published in the September issue.
The Bottom Mount Freezer type is the most preferred refrigerator style among European consumers, and among the 11 models ranked by StiWa, Samsung Electronics is the only domestic brand. Samsung Electronics took first place for two consecutive years, surpassing traditional European home appliance brands in this category.

The Samsung refrigerator that took first place (model RL41R7799SR) received the highest rating of "Very Excellent" in three of the seven evaluation categories: refrigeration performance, freezing performance, and temperature stability. Additionally, it received an "Excellent" rating in energy efficiency, usability, noise, and fault response categories, achieving the overall top score.
This product features the "Cool Select Plus" function, which allows changing the temperature range in the freezer compartment to four different settings depending on the stored ingredients: freezing (-23~-15℃), refrigeration (2℃), soft freezing (-5℃), and chill (-1℃), enabling efficient use according to lifestyle. The refrigerator's "Chef Zone" applies ultra-precise temperature control technology to maintain the temperature within ±0.5℃ at 0℃, optimally preserving delicate ingredients such as meat and fish.
Moreover, Samsung's exclusive independent cooling system, "Twin Cooling Plus," and the "Metal Cooling Plate" applied inside the refrigerator help keep food fresher and improve energy efficiency. This product also incorporates "Space Max Pro" technology, which uses an inverter compressor and thinner insulation materials to secure a larger internal capacity compared to previous Samsung models of the same external size.
The products ranked second (model RL38T776CB1) and third (model RL38T775CSR) also received "Very Excellent" ratings in freezing performance and temperature stability, and "Excellent" ratings in refrigeration performance, energy efficiency, usability, noise, and fault response categories.
Lee Ki-su, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "Samsung refrigerators have confirmed the trust of consumers in Germany and Europe by ranking first for two consecutive years in the German consumer media evaluation," adding, "We will actively target the European market, which values design, focusing on Bespoke appliances."
