[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As prolonged COVID-19 has increased employment instability, more office workers are dedicating themselves to self-development after work to either build a stable career at their current job or find a better second job. Amid these changes, adult education content that helps office workers develop their careers is gaining attention. Since education can be received online and via mobile, self-development is possible without constraints of time and place.

Class101 operates 'Class101 Career,' a variety of educational content designed to assist office workers or prospective job seekers with their work. It consists of lectures aimed at job skill improvement, including design, development, language learning, job training, and writing. As the number of studying office workers increases, the number of students enrolled as of September this year has grown about fourfold compared to the same period last year. Currently, fields with high enrollment rates in career classes include foreign languages and design. Recently, as demand for development roles has increased, Class101's data and development classes are also gaining popularity.

Class101 Business, which supports employees' studies as part of corporate welfare at the company level, is also popular. More than 100 domestic and international companies and public institutions, including Nike Korea, SKT, Kakao, and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, support improving their employees' practical skills through Class101 Business.

Code States is gaining attention with its 'Bootcamp' program, which supports rapid improvement of practical skills through a systematic learning process beyond just job skill enhancement. It not only provides IT education but also connects students to employment at over 230 leading companies. Applying an 'income-sharing' model, where a portion of income is paid as tuition only after securing a job with a certain salary, helps reduce the initial cost burden for those preparing for career transitions. Currently, Code States operates bootcamps in various fields such as software engineering, product management, growth marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain.

With the increasing demand for IT roles including developers, Code States saw its cumulative number of students grow more than fivefold compared to the previous year as of last year, and the income-sharing amount surged more than 30 times within a year, doubling its revenue. Graduates from Code States work at companies like Naver, Kakao, and Danggeun Market, and the cumulative employment rate of last year's graduates reached 90%.

There is also Hunet, a lifelong education specialist company that provides practical educational programs for adults, ranging from vocational training to promotion education for office workers and job creation for retired seniors.
