Provincial Assembly Members from Mokpo Actively Welcome the Establishment of the Early Childhood Forest Play Experience Center

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] All six provincial assembly members from Mokpo, Jeonnam (Jeon Gyeong-seon, Park Moon-ok, Jo Ok-hyeon, Choi Seon-guk, Lee Hyuk-je, Choi Hyun-ju) expressed their strong support on the 16th regarding the business agreement for the establishment of the ‘Jeonnam Province Early Childhood Forest Play Experience Center.’

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education and Mokpo City signed a business agreement on the 15th and finalized the project to establish the ‘Jeonnam Province Early Childhood Forest Play Experience Center.’

This project will be promoted by the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, with Mokpo City providing the site and administrative support. By 2025, more than 10 billion KRW will be invested to build indoor and outdoor forest play experience facilities covering 7,063㎡ in the Ipamsan area of Mokpo.

The ‘Jeonnam Province Early Childhood Forest Play Experience Center’ will operate forest play experience facilities along with ▲ research and development of forest play programs ▲ early childhood forest play programs ▲ weekend forest play leather craft experience programs.

Provincial assembly members Jeon Gyeong-seon, Park Moon-ok, Jo Ok-hyeon, Choi Seon-guk, Lee Hyuk-je, and Choi Hyun-ju stated, “With the establishment of the Jeonnam Province Early Childhood Forest Play Experience Center, young children will be able to enjoy nature within the city. We will spare no support at the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly level to help Mokpo become a prestigious city ideal for raising children.”
