[Asia Economy Reporter Noo Rae] This is Xperon's world-first balance golf ball (photo).
The idea started from the fact that measuring the diameter of a golf ball results in an error of ±2mm. Since it is impossible to make a perfect sphere, the concept was to identify the exact center of gravity so that the ball "flies straight and rolls properly." The key is that the balancing process found the center of gravity. Two lines were marked: one for the driver and one for the putting line. The putting line was drawn on the opposite surface by finding the lowest point of the center of gravity.
This is similar to the concept of aligning car tires to roll without vibration. Xperon, which pioneered a new field in golf balls, developed an unmanned automatic vending system called 'Qving' in 2018 to replace rapidly rising labor costs and rental fees, and installed it free of charge at golf practice ranges and screen golf centers nationwide. The unmanned automatic vending system features a 43-inch monitor and was designed to allow outdoor advertising.
Through remote monitoring, real-time sales data and an automatic ordering system can be checked. Recently, Qving has been utilized beyond the golf industry in various fields such as large supermarkets, gas stations, and movie theaters. "We approached golf balls more scientifically to help many golfers reduce their scores," they said, adding, "In the future, we plan to develop and apply a cryptocurrency payment system using blockchain technology to provide various benefits."
