[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] On the 13th, the campaign team of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General, demanded the government form a politically neutral cabinet regarding the 'accusation inducement' allegations. They also called for the resignation of personnel at the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (PCA) and for an investigation and dismissal of Park Ji-won, the Director of the National Intelligence Service.

Jang Je-won, the general manager of Yoon's campaign, issued a statement at the National Assembly communication office on the 13th, saying, "One day after urging an investigation into the Park Ji-won gate, its reality was revealed to the public through Cho Seong-eun, former vice-chair of the Future United Party (now People Power Party) election committee," adding, "The tail called the Park Ji-won gate has begun to reveal the body, which is the Moon Jae-in administration's election interference gate."

He continued, "All power institutions of the Republic of Korea, including the prosecution, PCA, and the National Intelligence Service, are mobilized and obsessed with 'killing Yoon Seok-yeol,'" and said, "They believe that capturing Yoon Seok-yeol alone will fulfill their ambition to extend their regime."

He further urged, "Above all, we call for strict punishment and measures to prevent recurrence regarding the illegal election interference by state power institutions," and stated, "President Moon must dismiss cabinet members who make fair elections impossible to expect."

Spokesperson Kim Yong-nam called for the resignation of PCA personnel investigating the accusation inducement allegations. He said, "We demand the immediate resignation of PCA members, including Director Kim Jin-wook, who are biased toward the ruling party," and added, "The newly formed PCA, composed of politically neutral personnel, must thoroughly investigate this 'Park Ji-won gate,' which was planned as a 'killing of opposition candidates.'"

Spokesperson Kim Byung-min also raised concerns about the alleged conspiracy involving Director Park in a statement. Kim questioned, "Director Park, did you really not have any conversation with Cho Seong-eun about any of the incidents reported by News Bus during your meeting on the 11th of last month?"

He then called for a full investigation and dismissal of Director Park. Kim said, "Director Park no longer qualifies as the head of the National Intelligence Service simply because he violated the obligation of political neutrality and stood at the center of election interference controversy," and added, "We hope President Moon will hold him strictly accountable and immediately proceed with dismissal procedures."
