Duzon Bizon-Korea Development Institute Collaborate on Data Utilization... "Building a Public Innovation Model"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Duzon Bizon announced on the 13th that it has signed a 'Data Utilization Cooperation Agreement' with the Korea Development Institute (KDI) to establish a public innovation business model.

The Korea Development Institute (KDI), a government-funded research institute, is primarily engaged in research on digital transformation policies aimed at government-led digital-based corporate growth. This agreement was promoted to collaborate on empirical analysis of the domestic economy using corporate data, policy proposals, and public innovation research and development as joint goals.

The main contents include joint research utilizing corporate big data, planning of public innovation business models, discovery of R&D projects, establishment of mid- to long-term strategies, and activation of personnel exchanges.

According to the agreement, Duzon Bizon will provide high-quality corporate data and research materials accumulated on the cloud-based business platform ‘WEHAGO’. In addition, through various mutual collaborations with the Korea Development Institute, it plans to explore industrial strategy research and related policy recommendations.

Earlier this year, Duzon Bizon was designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT as a ‘Data Integration Specialized Institution’ for pseudonymized information integration and processing to revitalize the data industry. Along with its status as a ‘Big Data Platform Operator’ acquired in 2019, it has enhanced the value of data utilization by combining real-time corporate big data with data held by public institutions.

Song Hochul, CEO of Duzon Bizon’s Platform Business Division, said, “This provides an opportunity to actively participate from the planning stage to execution of projects that create empirical analysis of the domestic economy based on data and national public innovation business models,” adding, “We will continuously cooperate with KDI to strengthen the competitiveness of the service industry using WEHAGO’s real-time corporate management big data and to serve as a foundation for research and development to build successful public innovation business models.”
