Screened at Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival
The Netflix original series "Hellbound" will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival, the largest film event in the UK. Netflix announced on the 9th that the series has been officially invited to the LFF Series thriller category. Previously, "Hellbound" was also invited to the Toronto International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival. The drama depicts a situation where people receive death sentences to hell from messengers of hell. It tells the story of those trying to uncover the truth behind the incidents becoming entangled with the religious group Saejinrihoe. The screenplay is by Choi Gyu-seok, the author of the webtoon "Songgot," and the series is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who directed the film "Train to Busan." Actors Yoo Ah-in, Park Jung-min, Kim Hyun-joo, and Won Jin-ah star in the series.
