[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Ssangyong Engineering & Construction announced on the 8th that it will begin the recruitment schedule for new and experienced employees for the second half of this year starting this month. The total number is about 50.
For new employees, applications are being accepted until the 26th for four fields: architecture, civil engineering, electrical, and plant. New employees must have a bachelor's degree or higher and be expected to graduate by February 2022. Candidates must be able to work at domestic and overseas sites. Those with internship experience at construction-related companies, excellent language skills, veterans, and persons with disabilities will be given preference according to relevant laws.
It is notable that junior engineers with less than three years of work experience in construction-related jobs are also being recruited. Even short-term experience is recognized, and those holding relevant certifications for each job will receive preferential treatment.
Experienced employees are being accepted until the 30th for seven departments: architectural construction, architectural administration, overseas construction (Equatorial Guinea), marketing, urban maintenance, remodeling, and public relations. Candidates must have a university degree or higher in the relevant field and at least three years of practical experience. Construction and administration require more than four years, and overseas construction requires five to seven years of experience. Those holding national certifications related to the applied field, proficient in English conversation, able to work overseas, veterans, and persons with disabilities will be given preference according to relevant laws.
The selection process consists of an online document screening, an online aptitude test (except for experienced candidates), and a video interview. Final successful new employees will join the company in early November this year.
Additionally, from October to November, recruitment-linked internships will be conducted in sales and management fields.
A Ssangyong Engineering & Construction official said, "This large-scale recruitment was conducted to expand personnel due to strengthening the domestic architecture sector such as housing projects and civil engineering, and to find talent for entering green energy businesses such as solar power, wind power, and fuel cells."
Meanwhile, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction has been continuously hiring about 400 new employees annually for seven consecutive years.
