[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Federation of Savings Banks announced on the 8th that it visited the Seoul Metropolitan Mapo Senior Welfare Center and Mapo Disabled Welfare Center ahead of Chuseok to deliver food kits.
This sharing event was conducted for about 500 households of elderly and disabled people in the Mapo area amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The food kits included ready-to-eat beef bone soup, apples, songpyeon, kimchi, and more.
Kim Saeng-bin, head of the Korea Federation of Savings Banks, said, “We prepared the food items with the hope that everyone will have a joyful holiday without any neighbors left out this upcoming Hangawi.” He emphasized, “We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to spread the culture of sharing together with savings banks.”
