Tourism Organization and Hana Tour Launch Collaborative Project Introducing Local Travel Information

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 7th that it has launched the 'Monthly! 19 Tour' service starting from the 1st, in collaboration with Hana Tour, selecting a 'Travel Destination of the Month' each month and introducing tourism information and travel products for the selected region.

19 Tour is a collaborative project that combines Hana Tour's '1' and the '9' representing every corner of the Republic of Korea, aiming to create a win-win cooperation platform in the domestic travel industry by bringing together a leading domestic travel information site and a leading travel agency.

'Monthly! 19 Tour' is a 'domestic travel edit shop' that provides high-quality tourism information owned by the organization and travel products offered by Hana Tour, selected by region to meet consumer demands, in order to revitalize the tourism industry and local economies struggling due to COVID-19. In particular, it actively supports participation not only from general travel products but also from tourism venture companies and local content creators who face relatively difficult marketing channels.

In the first issue for September, Busan was selected as the travel destination of the month. Tourism companies based in Busan, such as Busan Travel Special Forces and Yacht Tallae, mainly participated. The main content showcases Busan's Instagram-famous spots in real time, promotes unique experiences by the Busan tourism startup 'Umclass,' and various Busan travel products from tourism venture companies. Additionally, a quiz event guessing local attractions by their initial consonants was also prepared. 'Monthly! 19 Tour' can be accessed on the 19 Tour website or the Korea Tourism Organization's official site, Korea Travel Online.

Jung Ki-jung, Director of Digital Marketing at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Through this collaboration, we aim to provide convenience for the public to check various tourism content and travel products in a one-stop manner," adding, "We will expand this win-win cooperation project with the industry to play a new role as a fresh vitality in the tourism ecosystem."
