[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The SW-Centered University Project Group at Dongseo University recently held an awards ceremony for the "2nd Future World Changed by Artificial Intelligence Content Contest" at the U-IT Hall International Seminar Room, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, and Busan City, and sponsored by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, the group announced on the 3rd.
This contest was organized to provide the general public and elementary, middle, and high school students with an easy opportunity to approach the concept and related knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI), a core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Under the themes of "My AI (Artificial Intelligence) Utilization Story" and "Life in 2030 Brought by AI," participants could engage with various genres such as videos, webtoons, and posters if they had interest and fresh ideas.
Participants were encouraged to imaginatively express the future world changed by artificial intelligence in diverse ways.
More than 300 works were submitted nationwide for this contest.
The video category grand prize winner, titled "AI That Changed Everyday Life" (Kim Min-jae from Hanoi Korean International School), effectively portrayed the future applications of AI through video.
The webtoon category grand prize winner, "The 2030 Where Fairy Tales Await" (Park Hyun-kyung from Ocean Elementary School), stood out with its creative idea of incorporating AI into fairy tales in an entertaining way.
The poster category grand prize winner, "Safe and Convenient 2030 Green City with AI" (Sung Si-woo from Areum Elementary School), was highly praised by judges for expressing many stories of the future in a single illustration.
Additionally, the general division grand prize (Dongseo University President’s Award) "BAN" received high scores from judges for its content that goes beyond convenience to stimulate emotions through artificial intelligence technology.
Lee Sang-geol, Director of the SW Value Expansion Center at Dongseo University, said, "I hope participants will understand AI and develop the ability to communicate with AI by envisioning it and creating videos," adding, "We will continue to operate educational programs to promote the value of software."
