[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County is launching a large number of new products under its premium healthy convenience food brand, ‘Wanju Baromil,’ reaching out to consumers ahead of Chuseok.
On the 2nd, Wanju County announced that as part of the Rural New Vitality Plus Project, it is promoting a meal kit business, having filed a trademark for ‘Wanju Baromil’ as the representative brand and is pushing forward with the development of various products.
The new products introduced by Baromil ahead of Chuseok include a total of 16 items such as Braised Korean Beef Shank, Braised Pork Ribs, Aged Kimchi Chicken Stew, Beef Yukjeon (pan-fried beef), Taro Soup, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Mapo Tofu, and Mille-feuille Nabe.
The developed products leverage the strengths of Wanju local food, enhancing flavor based on healthy local ingredients and traditional regional recipes.
All products are available for purchase anytime on the Wanju Baromil online mall, and customers can also create sets with their desired products.
Additionally, for the areas near Wanju County including Jeonju and the Innovation City zone, contactless dawn delivery is provided instead of regular courier service.
Chuseok products can be ordered at a 10% discount until September 10, and free delivery is available for orders over 50,000 KRW.
Customers can select the delivery date when ordering, and for bulk orders or use of local gift certificates, inquiries can be made to the Wanju New Vitality Promotion Team.
Park Seong-il, Wanju County Governor, said, “Home meal kits including fresh agricultural products resemble the local food distribution method with short transportation distances,” adding, “This is a beneficial project for both producers and consumers, and we will open a new chapter in the food industry.”
Meanwhile, meal kits are products sold as sets containing all the ingredients needed for cooking, perfectly matched seasonings, and recipes, allowing anyone to cook easily and quickly, leading to a rapid increase in the consumer market.
