Confirmed New Participation of Namwon City... Expansion to 5 Cities and Counties in the Province Starting October
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 1st that with Namwon City newly selected for the AI·IoT-based senior health management pilot project, a non-face-to-face health management service, from October, seniors in five cities and counties in the province will be able to receive health management services remotely.
According to Jeonbuk Province, the AI·IoT-based senior health management service project is a pilot project operated since November last year as a public contest project by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Health centers selected for this project receive support for personnel wages for project execution, purchase costs for necessary devices, and operating expenses.
Following the existing four cities and counties of Jeonju, Iksan, Gimje, and Sunchang, Namwon City has been newly added this time.
The service targets seniors aged 65 and over who need chronic disease management and behavioral improvement (Android smartphone users).
Devices connected to smartphones check seniors’ health information such as activity level, weight, and blood pressure, and transmit it to health management experts. The experts analyze the data once a week and provide customized health information so that seniors can manage chronic diseases and improve their health on their own.
Based on a prior assessment of seniors’ health status, wristwatch-type activity trackers, Bluetooth scales, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and AI lifestyle speakers are provided according to the results.
Seniors set personalized goals for chronic disease prevention and health behavior improvement with the help of visiting health management professionals, and then manage to achieve these goals using the app (Oneul Geongang) and devices.
AI·IoT refers to a non-face-to-face health management service combining AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things).
