According to CNBC and other media on the 30th (local time), Nike announced that employees working at its headquarters in Oregon, USA, should take time off until the 3rd of next week. Matt Marazzo, Senior Global Marketing Manager, said, "The message from management is clear," adding, "Take a break to relieve stress and spend time with your loved ones."
Regarding this vacation, Marazzo stated, "We want to show that we prioritize mental health while ensuring work continues properly."
Before Nike's decision, dating application Bumble and LinkedIn also granted their employees a one-week vacation.
According to a recent survey of 1,000 full-time workers in the United States, 89% of respondents reported experiencing burnout last year. Additionally, 70% of respondents indicated they would consider moving to another company if they could reduce their feelings of burnout.
