Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Israel, which had implemented a 'With Corona' policy based on a high vaccination rate, has recently seen a sharp increase in cases again.

According to local media such as The Jerusalem Post on the 24th (local time), the Israeli Ministry of Health reported 9,821 new cases in one day. This number is close to the record high of 10,118 cases on January 18, the peak of the third wave of COVID-19.

The number of hospitalized patients was 1,124, and the number of severe cases reached 678. The death toll increased by 12, bringing the total to 6,864.

In Israel, 63% of the total population has completed the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The second dose vaccination rate exceeds 58%.

Israel, which led the world in the fastest vaccine rollout, saw new cases drop to single digits in early to mid-June, but the number has sharply increased since the spread of the Delta variant.
