[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The LINC+ Project Group of the National Mokpo Maritime University (Director Jeong Chang-hyun) held an Employment Competency Enhancement Camp from the 22nd to the 23rd.
According to Mokpo Maritime University on the 24th, this camp was implemented to support employment at contracted companies by strengthening the employment capabilities of graduating students. For more efficient program operation, the camp was held over one night and two days under the leadership of the LINC+ Project Group and DreamNaru Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Je-hwan), a specialized education corporation for employment and entrepreneurship competency enhancement, with 35 fourth-year students from Mokpo Maritime University participating.
They participated in programs essential for job preparation such as 'Resume/Self-Introduction Writing Methods,' 'Voice Training,' 'Interview Skill Level UP,' and 'Practical Mock Interviews,' which were highly praised for significantly helping to strengthen practical employment capabilities.
Hong Hyun-young, a fourth-year student in the Department of Navigation who participated in the camp, said, "All the courses were composed of education essential for job preparation, and I gained confidence in employment, which I had been vaguely afraid of. I really liked that I learned how to prepare for employment." She added, "DreamNaru's 3-minute 'Practical Mock Interview' was very nerve-wracking but was the most helpful."
Jeong Chang-hyun, director of the LINC+ Project Group, said, "While considering what to do to support the employment of students participating in the project group, we planned this camp with the intention of providing education that truly helps students rather than event-type activities." He continued, "Although it was a short time of just one night and two days, I felt proud seeing students actively participate in the program and express gratitude, saying they now have confidence in employment."
Kim Je-hwan, CEO of DreamNaru Co., Ltd., a specialized education corporation for employment and entrepreneurship competency enhancement, said, "After conducting this camp, I realized why the National Mokpo Maritime University has the highest employment rate nationwide," and added, "I was impressed by the passion of the participating students and the LINC+ Project Group staff."
Meanwhile, the Employment Competency Enhancement Camp, held under the level 3 COVID-19 situation in the Jeonnam region, was conducted safely by strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines such as all participants (students, staff, instructors, and operational personnel) confirming negative COVID-19 results through screening tests before participation, maintaining social distancing of over 2 meters, disinfecting classrooms every hour, checking temperatures, and providing separate dining spaces for participants.
