[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The 19th International Conference on Media in Education (ICoME), hosted by the Jeonnam National University Institute for Educational Issues (Director Ryu Ji-heon) and the Korean Society for Educational Information and Media (President Professor Eom Woo-yong of Keimyung University), was successfully held with the participation of over 300 professors, students, and researchers.
According to Jeonnam National University on the 24th, this conference featured distinguished scholars from 10 countries including South Korea, the United States, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Brazil, Malaysia, Germany, and Finland, who discussed the design of learning environments driven by digital innovation and artificial intelligence (AI).
In particular, all proceedings of this international conference were conducted using the VStory Metaverse platform, allowing participants to gather in virtual reality in real time and fully enjoy the sense of presence during the conference.
The VStory Metaverse platform, unlike typical video conferencing platforms, is optimized for educational environments, reaffirming its potential applications not only for academic conferences but also in education.
