[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Shinhan Bank announced on the 24th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with Sookmyung Women's University to establish the 'HeyYoung Smart Campus' platform.
'HeyYoung Smart Campus' is the first mobile platform exclusively for university students promoted by Shinhan Bank in the financial sector, integrating academic and financial services such as electronic ID cards (mobile student IDs) into a single app.
By applying electronic ID card functions based on beacon, NFC, and QR technology, the existing plastic student ID cards are replaced with mobile student IDs, enabling the use of academic services such as electronic attendance. Additionally, major academic functions previously available only on PCs will be supported, including ▲ 'Academic Management' for viewing grades, timetables, and tuition payment details ▲ 'Facility Reservation' for booking library reading room seats and study rooms ▲ and various academic services such as 'Additional Convenience Services' including push notifications and communication boards.
In particular, the HeyYoung Smart Campus integrated app will be linked with Shinhan SOL to provide convenient campus transfers and payment services for on-campus facilities (SOL Pay), offering university students easier access to frequently used financial services.
After signing this business agreement, both parties plan to gradually launch the HeyYoung Smart Campus integrated app starting from the next academic semester. Shinhan Bank plans to sign agreements with a total of three universities, beginning with Sookmyung Women's University, within this year. A Shinhan Bank official stated, “We are honored to take the first step in building a smart campus platform together with Sookmyung Women's University, a leader in digital convergence innovation,” and added, “We will expand the partner universities to establish this as a financial platform in daily university life.”
