According to Gyeongnam Province and the bereaved family on the 24th, the woman in her 60s who was reported dead passed away at a hospital at 1:56 PM on the 23rd.

The woman received the first dose of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine in June and the second dose at 11:00 AM on the 19th.

She complained of fever and other symptoms after vaccination, and her condition worsened.

The quarantine authorities are conducting a basic epidemiological investigation to determine the causal relationship with the vaccination.

The final announcement will be made after the official confirmation process by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency regarding the correlation.

The bereaved family expressed regret about the response of the vaccination center, saying, "She had flu-like symptoms a few days before the second dose, and since she had underlying conditions, we informed the vaccination center of her condition, but they guided us that 'as long as there is no fever, vaccination is allowed.'

As of the 23rd, the cumulative number of first-dose vaccinations in the Gyeongnam area is 1,699,327 (51.2% of the population), and the number of completed vaccinations is 769,558 (23.2% of the population).
