Gwangju Seo-gu Hosts 'Online Family Peaceful Unification Quiz Contest'


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 24th that it will hold an online family peace and unification quiz competition titled "Let's Solve It, Unification" for families with elementary school children on October 4th.


This event was prepared to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the October 4th Inter-Korean Summit Declaration, to encourage interest in peace and unification, and to spread positive awareness. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, it will be conducted live using Zoom, and participants will be sent a link to access the quiz.


Participants will solve the quiz via video from home using computers, laptops, smartphones, etc., while the host will conduct the event through an online broadcasting system from the studio.


The quiz competition will award a total of 36 teams: 1 team for the Unification Award, 5 teams for the Peace Award, 10 teams for the Freedom Award, and 20 teams for the Connection Award, with total prize money of 3.5 million KRW.


Applications are being accepted through Naver Form until the 26th of next month, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Human Rights Cooperation Team of the Administrative Support Division at Seo-gu Office.


Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "This quiz competition was prepared to provide children with a natural awareness of unification issues and an opportunity to build consensus on peaceful unification as future unification agents. We hope many interested families participate and have a meaningful time."
