Gimhae City Accepts Applications for '2021 Gimhae Best Master' Award ... One Winner Selected in Each of Four Categories

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 24th that it will select the '2021 Gimhae City Master Craftsman' to enhance the status of skilled technicians and strengthen industrial competitiveness.

The selection fields are four categories: pottery, crafts, food processing, and floral decoration, with one person selected in each field.

Applicants must have been registered residents of Gimhae for more than 7 years as of the announcement date, and must have worked in the selected industry field for more than 15 years as of the application date, contributing to the development of local skilled technology.

Applications are accepted from September 6 to October 1, and applicants must submit their applications in person to the City Hall Job Policy Division with recommendations from the heads of each eup, myeon, or dong.

Selections will be made through document screening, on-site evaluation, and review by the Gimhae City Master Craftsman Selection Committee.

Selected individuals will receive the title and certificate of Master Craftsman, along with a research incentive fund of 6 million KRW to support technological development in their respective fields.

Mayor Heo Seong-gon stated, "We will do our best to honor technicians so that excellent technical skills can lead to industrial development and job creation," and urged, "We ask many skilled technicians in the region to actively participate in the 'Master Craftsman' program, which will lead the branding of local industries."
