[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Group is starting its open recruitment for new employees in the second half of this year. From next year, the group will switch from open recruitment to on-demand recruitment, hiring personnel by job function at each company.

According to SK Group on the 24th, five affiliates including SK C&C, SK Innovation, SK E&S, SK Biopharm, and SK Siltron will conduct open recruitment for new employees.

SK Group is expected to hire at least several thousand new employees through this open recruitment. From next year, new employees will be hired only through on-demand recruitment. The application period is from the 30th of this month to September 8th, and those who pass the document screening will undergo written tests and interviews, with successful candidates announced in November.

Some affiliates such as SK Hynix and SK Telecom are currently conducting on-demand recruitment. On-demand recruitment is a method of hiring personnel by job function as needed. Since selection focuses on job competency and expertise, the recruitment process, including interview methods, varies by company. In particular, SK Hynix plans to hire a three-digit number of personnel. This will be the third on-demand recruitment following those in February and June this year, aiming for large-scale hiring to strengthen semiconductor capabilities.

SK Group opened a recruitment website yesterday to provide hiring information. An online recruitment briefing session will also be held for four days from August 31st to September 3rd, during the application period. Through YouTube, KakaoTalk, and other platforms, applicants can directly ask related questions and receive information.

An SK Group official explained, "This open recruitment will also be conducted through a blind recruitment process, and interview methods vary by company," adding, "To provide accurate information to applicants, this year we decided to conduct the recruitment briefing interactively."
